Come and see Pulp legend Jarvis at Fenton House, Hampstead
Jarvis Cocker will be talking about his new book, Good Pop, Bad Pop: An Inventory at the Idler Festival in July. The book is a memoir of stuff: it starts with Jarvis clearing out his attic and rifling through old photos, tickets, clothes and souvenirs. These ephemera lead him to ask: who do you think you are? Are clothes important? Why are there so many pairs of broken glasses up here?
Jarvis joins comedians Sally Phillips and Arthur Smith, literary giant Margaret Drabble, wise man Oliver Burkeman, children’s author Lauren Child and many more.
We’ll have literary, philosophy and architecture walks; cartooning, zine and foraging workshops; hip-hop dancing lessons on the lawn, silent disco in the sunken garden; a chill out tent in the orchard, and much more.
We can’t wait to be loafing, laughing and learning in the walled gardens of beautiful Fenton House.
