Idler Festival 2025, Orchard Stage: Robert Rowland Smith and Mark Vernon’s Philosophy Slam
Tom Hodgkinson has some good news for anyone who missed this year’s Idler Festival
Thanks so much to everyone who came along to the Idler Festival. It was a glorious weekend with fantastic weather and a wonderful line-up. For the first time tickets for Saturday and Sunday were completely sold out.
Victoria and I are so grateful for everyone’s support. We have no sponsor and no state funding of any sort, and instead rely completely on ticket sales, i.e. you!
So thank you for making it happen.
Of course most of you couldn’t make it, the Idler diaspora being spread far and wide. So we’ve put together a few pics from the weekend for you, taken by Monika S. Jakubowska.
We’ll also be posting short videos on the dreaded social media over the coming weeks, so keep a look-out for those, if you “do” Instagram (and salutations to you if you don’t).
And there are a few audio recordings of talks. I’ll let you know when we get round to posting those.
It’s a confusing world, filled with tyrants, but we did manage three days of top quality and revolutionary merry-making in a beautiful place, so huzzah for that.
Live well, Tom
