A Drink with the Idler | Kari Leibowitz on How to Winter

Dr Kari Leibowitz

£7.50

Join “A Drink with the Idler” as we chat to Health Pyschologist Dr Kari Leibowitz on the secret to finding joy in the dark months

Health psychologist and chionophile convert Kari Leibowitz has travelled to some of the most extreme winter climates on earth, places where the sun doesn’t shine for weeks on end, locations where it’s so cold that every apartment building has a complementary sauna (okay… that actually sounds pretty lush) to uncover the best ways to approach to winter.

Join us as we chat to Kari about how to shake off the January blues and defrost our “Winter-Hater” attitudes.  We will be asking Kari all about her ground breaking research with the world’s leading expert on Human Happiness in Tromsø, the Arctic Capital explored  in her book, How to Winter.

The discussion between Kari and Idler editor Tom Hodgkinson will be followed by a live Q&A when you will be given the chance to ask John your own questions.

We’ll have a philosophical “Thought for the Week” from Dr Mark Vernon and the event will be hosted by Idler Academy director Victoria Hull.

This is an online event. It should be like meeting up in the pub for an interesting conversation. We leave the meeting open at the end so you can carry on chatting.
