Join “A Drink with the Idler” as we chat with Tricia Hersey on freeing yourself from grind culture and reclaiming your life.

Tricia Hersey’s book Rest is Resistance is a call-to-action for anyone suffering from the toxic urgency of modern-day life. Rest, at its simplest form, is disruptive. It becomes an act of resistance and an act of reclaiming your power from the throes of late-stage capitalism and white supremacy.

“This book will save lives and transform the world.” – Emily Nagoski, PhD

“Essential… Rest is a necessary step in reclaiming our power to resist systemic oppression.” – Ibram X Kendi

The discussion will be followed by a live Q&A. The Idler Academy’s Head of Philosophy Dr Mark Vernon will present a short “thought for the week” to get our brains fizzing and the discussion will be followed by a live Q&A. The event will be  hosted by Idler Academy director Victoria Hull.

This is an online event. It should be like meeting up in the pub for an interesting conversation. We leave the meeting open at the end so you can carry on chatting.
