Yes — way more than an ex-Goth deserves

2. What are you reading? 

King Leopold’s Ghost by Adam Hochschild
The Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain
The Churchill Factor by Boris Johnson

3. What was your worst job? 

Van driver for NHS picking up used colostomy bags from lonely old people’s flats.

4. How many hours do you work each day? 

About two.

5. Town mouse or country mouse?

In UK country; abroad, town.

6. Does love bring happiness or unhappiness?

Happiness.

7. Mp3 or vinyl? Real book or ebook? 

MP3 and ebook.

8. What are your three greatest pleasures?

Hot-air ballooning. Writing. A Rossini (not the composer: the prosecco and strawberry juice drink)

9. Do you believe in the nap?

No, leaves me groggy.

10. What advice do you have for young people? 

Grow up.
