In Newcastle in the early eighties, Chris Donald and his brother Simon started a satirical adult comic called Viz. Soon it was picked up by London publisher John Brown, and became a million-selling phenomenon.
At this event at the Idler Academy tent, Port Eliot Festival 2016, Chris and John tell Tom Hodgkinson how it all happened. There was an audience of around 300 and we took questions at the end. Warning: this is a very sweaty podcast.
