BIG THANKS TO COMEDIAN, writer and Dom Joly of Trigger Happy TV fame for entertaining a packed hall at St Stephen’s Church on 21 May. Dom recounted various memorable anecdotes including his lunch with a name-dropping Alan Yentob, who persuaded him to join the BBC from Channel 4 and then subsequently dropped him. The first Dom knew about this was when he arrived at the BBC to find that his entry card no longer worked.
Dom said that he has no work ethic and and has always quit projects and jobs when he got bored.
Dom announced last night that he has just been commissioned to do another series of Trigger Happy TV by Channel 4.
His new memoir, Here Comes the Clown: A Stumble Through Show Business, is published by Simon and Schuster.
For those of you who missed the live event, we have posted an interview we recorded with Dom earlier in the year.
