Living La Vida Bona

22 Sep

Thanks to Cerys Matthews’ Good Life Experience for hosting an Idler tent and bookshop last weekend. We taught philosophy, ukulele and idling. The above picture shows ukulele master Danny Wootton, with Tom Hodgkinson to the right and Arthur Jeffes of Penguin Café on the Dulcitone. This is a curious Victorian piano substitute used by missionaries to play hymns to the natives. Pics by Elle.

The Good Life Experience is a lovely laid-back, dog-friendly weekend at the Gladstone family’s Hawarden estate in North Wales. We would recommend it highly. Read more here.
