When Jon Gnarr, the former mayor of Reykjavik, came to London to promote his new book, we invited him to give a talk at the Idler with Crass founder Penny Rimbaud. Before the event started, we recorded this twenty minute interview with Gnarr, in which he tells the story of how CRASS influenced the politics of the young Gnarr, how this anarchist punk came to occupy one of the most powerful positions in Icelandic politics, and his struggles with implementing policy.
