Jeremy Corbyn: “Jarvis Cocker stole my look”

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has complained that Britpop legend Jarvis Cocker stole his look.

“Everyone thought that Jarv was being original with his corduroy jacket, brown jumper and collars sticking out. Plus a badge.

“In fact this was a look I pioneered in 1984, a full ten years before anyone had even heard of Pulp. I developed it in order to stand out from the Tory bankers. To look like one of the common people. Ironically, although I said at the time that the House of Commons was not a fashion parade, seems like I ended up being the coolest guy in the whole place.

“Now Jarvis gone even further and copied the beard. Seems I just can’t help being at the cutting edge of fashion as well as radical politics.”
