Dear Sir
Good day!
I just wanted to let whoever is reading this know that I love receiving your newsletter, and I never thought I’d say that about any newsletter. It’s not the only one I receive, but it is the only one I invariably read, and always enjoy.
I signed up for the newsletter after reading How To Be Free [Tom Hodgkinson’s second book] a couple of years ago. I adored the book in the way that one adores meeting someone utterly charming in an unexpected place, then realising that they share pretty much exactly the same philosophy of life as you do. It made me realise that my life was not the tsunami of failure it was beginning to appear to be, and that despite appearances to the contrary, I was following the right path. Sometimes all you need is the encouragement of like minds.
A part of me yearns to be back in London so I could attend some of the classes and meet some of the wonderful people that your Academy must attract. One day, hopefully, I’ll do that.
Now I have finished my lunch and must return to finishing the steps down to the tipi. I am covered in mud and concrete. The sun is shining. Your newsletters always serve to remind me how lucky I am not to be stuck in an office somewhere.
Thank you.
Karl
